The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Sunday a 1-year-old Covington young lady at the focal point of an Amber Alert and the suspect blamed for snatching her both have passed on.

Authorities said The Newton County Sheriff's Office is examining following 1-year-old Jaquari Bennett was supposedly stole at some point on Saturday at a home on Chandler Field Drive in Newton County.

The Newton County Sheriff's Office said 38-year-old Darain Javaris Bennett, the baby's dad, shot and killed the youngster's

mom at the home. The kid's grandma was likewise injured and told police Darain Bennett took the kid.

The Newton County Sheriff's Offices said Darain Bennett called to tell policing was with the child at a congregation on

Riverdale Road and Adams Drive in Clayton County, taking steps to hurt the youngster and himself.

The sheriff's office said the man shot the youngster prior to directing the weapon back toward himself.
